Vitae et Mortem
Ledger Entry Number Ten
My priestesses whom I sent to the library were eagerly awaiting me, with great news indeed. They had talked with some of Bhals servants and they were talled that Bhal had killed the person whom we seek. They also heard this from other people as well. I gather all the priestesses together and tell them this great news, no longer did they have to worry about safety as Dagon has seen to it that once again they are safe. there is a little excited cheers amongst them. I tell them to cellebrate and give praise to Dagon and have feast,as from tomorrow onwards they will be safe and life at the temple can once again return to normal.
I then go check to see if there are any captains waiting to see me, which there isnt, so I go check at the docks to make sure that everything was ok. I then talk to the builders offering them axtra work as I needed a temple building at the shrine of Dagon, inorder to let the farmers know that Dagon is also watching over them and that he has not forgotten about them.
A messenger arrives at the temple who is very smartly dressed and tells me that I am to precent myself to the King, upon the next evening. Someone will arrive tomorrow eve to take me to the King’s Temple. It is made quite clear that I will be there, I have no option about this. I make sure that I carry out everything that I should be doing tomorrow, so that I do not have to worry if the King keeps me for any length of time. I also tell Magdalaine that tomorrow evening I will be out at a very important meeting at the castle. I then return to slumber.
Sure enough as soon as I rise i find a messenger awaiting me. I make sure that I am dressed in my finest robes and then leave with the escort.
Once we arrive we are ushered into a very large stone cavern and I can sense that there are l;ots of others of my kind, seated around the edges of the cavern. In the middle of the room, shackled to the flooris Ildama, the person who Bhal supposedly killed.
The King is sat upon his throne.
Baldovine is alone in his seat and it is obviousl from where he is placed that he is also in trouble.
The King points at Ildama and asks out who has a grievience with this man.
Baldovine, myself and Bhal, and a few others whom I do not know all raise our hands to gesture that we do. We are all told to state our grieviances and also what we are seeking to be done with him. We all take it in turn to speak our minds and all of us agree that we do not seek final death, only that he is punished for the acts upon my temple and the priestess and also done for treason, and also interigation.
Ildama then pleads his case, saying that yes he has done some of the things he has been accused off, but he has never been treacherous, he only claimed that he was incharge of the Docks.
Next in turn is the one called Lilet, she pleads her case, next is my turn, I explain all the reasons, the attack on the temple, the rape and murder of the priestess. The ‘taxes’ of the captains, and also this so called owning the docks, nevermind the treason to both Dagon and also the King.
Baldovin is next to speak. Once he has stated his case, The King holds his hands up saying thathe has heard enough and that he will definately punished, he is to be imprisoned and held accountable. he is then lead away from the room.
Virius then stands up an accuses Lilit of kidnapping baldovine. Lilet shouts out that this is not what happened, and tells him what really happened. Both Baldovine and another one who introduced herself as Amanet also agree with what Lilet has said and so Virius has no option but to resind his accusations.
Before the King can continue Lilet demands a hearing regarding her grieviances with Virius and his men. And so another debate begins, which Lilet wins and as a result Virius is stripped of his ranks and status which whithin vampire law, is now passed onto Lilet.
Baldovine is next to be judged. The king asks who has a grieviance with this individual and no one shouted out.Only Baldovine speaks up saying that he feels he needs to be punished because of the death of Serinius. The Kings speaks with him briefly upon these matters and then decides that his punishment will be to return to the Brotherhood, and that he WILL be their hero once again.
Once all the proceeding as finished with are sent away back to our temples.
The sun is begining to rise so I return to my slumber.
